Owner & Founder · DAWG Youth Sports Performance
My name is Avery Thompson Sr. I'm the owner and founder of Dawgs Youth Sports Performance. Dawg was founded in 2018 on the Westside of Indianapolis until moving to Mooresville in 2024. I was a 4 sport athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and track. I was blessed to be a high jumper on the state runner up Track & Field team at Ben Davis High School in 2002. I also won state twice in football as player in 2001 & 2002. I won another state title as coach for Ben Davis in 2017 on the undefeated national ranked football team. I have over a decade of experience in coaching youth sports and I'm on year 13 of coaching high school football. I won 2 National Titles in 2008 & 2017 with the Indianapolis Tornados. Since retiring I have dedicated my time to multiple communities in helping young athletes reach their fitness goals and build their confidence through mental toughness. I just really enjoy being apart of athlete's journey to success by creating a fun atmosphere with incredible work ethic. Be. A. Dawg🐾🦴🖤

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers for booking, payments, intake, and packages. For cancellation and waiver language, see our booking policy.
How do I book a training session?
Open the training schedule, choose a class or private slot, and tap Book. You'll confirm the athlete and complete intake if needed. Paid sessions checkout online; group classes may use package credits.
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist with your contact information.
How do I pay for sessions and packages?
Paid sessions and training packages are purchased online with secure Stripe checkout.
If you have remaining package credits, booking a $25 session does not charge a card. Staff manage remaining sessions on your account.
What are training packages and credits?
Packages are prepaid bundles (for example a 10-pack). If you have remaining credits, a normal $25 session is covered at booking and no payment is due that day.
Remaining session counts are updated by staff. Buy more anytime from the packages page when you're running low.
Why do I need an intake form?
Each athlete completes a one-time intake before training: emergency contacts, health notes, shirt size, goals, and waiver acceptance.
You can fill it out while booking or from a secure link in email. Adding another athlete? Choose “New athlete” on the booking form or complete intake again for that child.
What does “Save on this device” do?
It remembers your parent contact info and athlete list on this phone or browser so the next booking is faster. It does not store medical notes in plain browser storage.
You can still complete or update intake when policies change or for a new athlete.
Can I add DAWG to my home screen?
Yes. On iPhone, use Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android, use Install app or Add to Home screen. It opens like a shortcut to the schedule and booking flow.
I started paying online but didn’t finish — is my spot held?
Online checkout has a short hold window. If payment isn’t completed in time, the hold may expire and the spot can open for someone else. You can return to the schedule and try again.
Who do I contact for help?
Use the contact page for questions about programs, billing at the facility, or schedule changes. For urgent day-of issues, use the phone or email listed on your confirmation.
